Brownies with Japanese peanuts Yummi Nuts

Yummi Nuts


  • 1 ½ sticks margarine
  • 7 ounces of semi-bitter chocolate chips
  • 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup crushed Japanese peanuts


  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix both types of chocolate chips and melt them in a double boiler over low heat.
  • Remove from heat and add the sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir well and add one egg at a time.
  • Add the flour little by little and finally the peanuts.
  • Place in a baking pan lined with baking paper and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted and comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before cutting.
