INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound cornmeal
  • 1 Oaxaca cheese (quesillo)
  • 2 tablespoons cream (without salt)
  • Ketchup
  • ½ cabbage
  • ½ striped carrot
  • Vinegar
  • Oregano
  • Salt
  • 1 Del Rancho Chicharrones

PROCESS

  • In a container place cornmeal, add a glass of warm water, a glass of cold water, and knead.
  • Mix until you have a homogeneous mass.
  • In a food processor, add the cheese, the spoons of cream, and mix.
  • Shred a package of Chicharrones del Rancho
  • Take a portion of the dough and make a ball, open space in the center, and add a tablespoon of cheese and a tablespoon of Chicharrones Del Rancho.
  • Close the center of the dough and form an omelette
  • On a previously heated griddle, cook each side of the tortilla for 8 minutes.
  • Add water to a pot and cook the previously grated cabbage and carrot.
  • Let cool and add to the cabbage and carrot, ½ Cup of Vinegar, oregano, and salt to taste.
  • Serve the pupusas and accompany them with cabbage and Chicharrones Del Rancho.
